Tops - Round Neck or V Neck?
Share
There are some things that cause a person to pick a side one way or another - for example are you Pepsi or Coke? Microsoft or Apple? Round Neck or V Neck? What, wait, is that a thing? Well apparently, so. It seems whilst many people have a combination of necklines in their wardrobe, there are die hard supporters of each and those who never venture to the other side.
Our traditional short sleeve top has always been a round neck but there are those that would never purchase such things. Well never fear we have now changed the so-called Short Sleeve Blouse to a “Round Neck Top” and today we launch it’s sister, the “V-Neck Top”.
So let’s look at what the so called experts have to say about what looks best on who:
The Round-Neck remains close to the collar bone, creating clean, minimalist lines in the overall view. This is perfect for women with a relatively smaller bust or wider shoulders, as this line helps to balance proportions for a smooth, seamless silhouette. It might give the illusion of length in the torso for the petite woman. If you have a larger bust it will give full coverage and avoid extra fabric to reduce bulk. It definitely works well with most accessories and is easy to style.
The V-Neck is capable of making a person appear slim and long. The neckline directs the eye downward towards the body, hence creating a longer and leaner silhouette. This is a great choice for a person that has a short torso or those who want to create balance when they have a fuller bust.
So there you have it.
Whichever camp you sit in, why not check out the ‘other’ side and have a look at our new V-Neck Tops. In super lightweight fabrics, they are perfect for hot weather. Plus, they are available in all 5 sizes covering size 10-12 (US 6-8) up to size 26-28 (US 22-24).
